NAGARAJ
Nagaraj was born and raised in London to Australian parents in 1966, both of whom were artists. He studied briefly at the Chelsea School of Art in London and then worked as a graphic and interior designer. At the age of 23 he took some time off and travelled to India, intending only to pass through on his way to family in Sydney he ended up staying 9 years in that magical country. He stayed in many ashrams and learnt various massage, healing and meditation techniques, ardently seeking the ‘truth’, which he found when meeting his guru Sri H.W.L Poonja, commonly known as Papaji, who was an enlightened devotee of the great Indian saint Sri Ramana Maharishi. For the last four years of his travels in India, he sat with him and was completely transformed. When he died, he moved to France with his young family and became a stonemason, concentrating on the renovations of stately homes, especially the Chateaux of the Dordogne and Charente regions, whilst at the same time continuing his art and therapies. He then moved into eco-construction and a lifetime’s study of the impact that humanity is having on our home and nature. He has just completed his first book, entitled; ‘Meeting Mother Earth. A Message from the Goddess Gaia’, in which he tried to distil all that he has learnt on his journey. He is now based in the French Pyrenees.
